Gal-T1 - Mn(2+) - UDP-Gal
Native Structure (conformation I) of b4Gal-T1. The structure of b4Gal-T1, crystallized in the presence of Mn2+, soaked with UDP-Galactose. No metal ion was detected, only UDP was found to be bound.

Gastinel, L. N., Cambillau, C. & Bourne, Y. (1999). EMBO J. 18, 3546-3557.

The flexible region, highlighted red, is in open conformation (conformation I), and undergoes conformational changes.
